Reflecting on our stories

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.  -Psalm 34:8

This month has an extra Friday, so your foxhole time is more freeform this week. The guys in my foxhole usually go grab some breakfast, but y'all can do what you want! However and wherever you fill the time, I encourage you to reflect on the stories we have heard thus far this year. Take a checkpoint and assess which topic or idea rang most true for you and any progress you have made toward goals you set for yourself coming out of those. That might be a good conversation with your foxhole brothers. "Celebrate the victories and surrender the setbacks."

To jog the memory, here is where we have been:

  • January, Bryan Lewis, The Need for Margin

  • February, Steve Marshall, How and Why We Sabbath

  • March, Carl Kimbro, The Meaning of Trust

  • April, Jeremy Waterhouse, Finding God in the Trials

  • May, Marcus Easley, The Danger if Isolation

  • June, Colon Washburn (in absentia), Finishing Well

You can catch the podcast for any of those you might have missed at https://www.convoynwa.org/audio/. This might also be a good time to consider others who could benefit from what you enjoy about Convoy. Go ahead and buy them breakfast this week and introduce them to your foxhole.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story...  -Psalm 107:1-2

That's it for now, gentlemen. I appreciate your commitment to Convoy and your heart for connecting with other men to follow Jesus. Heads up, eyes open!
